A repeatable decision, with a clear owner

Investigate a count discrepancy before a controlled inventory adjustment. The stock count review template belongs to the scm workflow collection. It provides a structured starting point for a request, the information needed by its reviewer and a traceable decision. Adapt it to your business terminology before inviting staff or customers to use it. The aim is to reduce missing context and unowned work, not to remove the person responsible for the outcome.

Collect the facts once

The form includes Stock location, SKU, Counted units. Required values and controlled choices help the receiving team identify the correct record and decide what needs attention. Explain unusual references with examples and request supporting documents only when they are necessary. Avoid sensitive personal information in an unrestricted narrative field. This template is intended for staff operations; do not publish its internal data as an unrestricted customer form.

  • Stock location: text, required
  • SKU: text, required
  • Counted units: integer, required

Review, clarify and record the outcome

A submitted request should reach an authorised reviewer with its reference and current state intact. The reviewer can request clarification, hold the work, approve or reject it according to the configured process. The sample response target is 48 hours and should be reviewed against your actual service commitment. Define the escalation owner when information is missing or the normal reviewer is unavailable. Keep the reason for a decision so the next person can understand what changed.

Approval is not an external transaction

A request is not an approval, a quotation is not a payment, and a completed form is not proof that an external action happened. Keep human review for decisions that change money, stock, access or customer commitments. Provider integrations require credentials and explicit activation. Availability depends on the configured modules and user permissions; specialist engines and jurisdiction-specific certification are separately scoped.

Measure a complete journey

Test a complete stock count review request, a missing required value, a rejected case and a clarification cycle. Check that an unauthorised role cannot read or approve the record. Review the generated document, audit history and permitted report rows. Useful measures include open work, waiting time, repeated clarification and the percentage of requests returned for correction. Use real observed exceptions to improve the form rather than adding fields without a business reason.

Your market and subscription

For an India business, select English (India) and INR when creating the workspace. The process subscription starts at INR 1,000 per month, with taxes, third-party charges and scoped implementation assessed separately. Confirm the legal entity, invoicing information and applicable tax treatment before launch. A template does not replace an accountant, licensed professional or regulatory review, and selecting India does not automatically enable payments.

Start with an editable template

Start with a 30-day sample workspace without a card or automatic charge. Review an industry demo, choose the modules you need and create an independent editable copy. The clone carries approved configuration and sample offerings, not another business's customers, credentials or transaction history. Tenant administration, user management and security remain part of the foundation. Add further modules only after reviewing the monthly scope with your team.
